Natalie Ola is the artistic identity of a Finland-based artist living and working in the Helsinki metropolitan region. She creates from her home studio, surrounded by the presence of her three beloved children and the ever-changing rhythms of nature — including a vast water landscape and the mesmerizing murmurations of starlings that unfold beyond her studio windows.

Working across acrylics, oil pastels, charcoal, and the digital medium Procreate, Natalie creates original digital artworks and mixed-media compositions that explore the intersection between urban energy and the restorative power of nature. Her works are alive with movement, layered textures, expressive color, and rhythmic mark-making inspired by the visual pulse of contemporary city life — spray paint, bold brushstrokes, fragmented surfaces, and luminous color fields. Through these energetic structures emerge flowers, leaves, and animal forms, woven into the compositions like nature reclaiming space within the chaos.

A self-taught artist, Natalie began painting early in childhood as a way to process deep emotion and search for inner stillness. That pursuit continues to shape her artistic philosophy today. Her work is driven by a desire to create moments of emotional restoration, reflection, and reconnection through art.

“I aspire to paint concepts,” Natalie says, “such as partnership — how individuals can grow together, strengthening one another while maintaining their own identity and boundaries.” Her work also explores ideas of healing, renewal, and what she describes as “hacking the ecstatic” — the transformation of fractured inner spaces into places of vitality, resilience, and joy. Recurring themes throughout her work include perseverance, emotional renewal, and the rediscovery of what matters most deeply.
